Mounds Lake Project
« on: May 27, 2015, 11:30 AM »
I see where the Delaware County Council has voted against this project.  It would have dammed the White River in Anderson and made a new lake.  It would also have flooded part of Mounds State Park, many businesses and about 400 homes.  The White River has changed quite a bit in the last thirty years. Today it is much cleaner and boating and fishing is more common than before.  This does not mean this project is "dead" but it is a sign that people may be listening. (I am sure this is not over by any means.)

I would say d**n wise if it's a farming community it's dead before it even got started. We've been trying to get the d**n built back up for years on Big Turkey but those farmers are always against it. Good luck hopefully it passes would be nice for that area.
