The Lake George Fishing Alliance is a proud sponsor and organizer of the first ever open water fishing derby to be held on Lake George:
The King George Fishing Derby, July 10-12, 2015. Our event is being supported by bed tax funds from Warren County, enabling us to guarantee cash prizes of $15,000 to be divided among the top five heaviest fish in three categories: lake trout, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. That's breaks down to 1st: $2,500, 2nd: $1,00, 3rd: $750, 4th: $500, 5th: $250. There is also a youth division(under 16) with merchandise prizes for the same categories; we plan on having some nice packages put together. Door prizes and raffles will also be given out on Sunday's awards ceremony. There will be three weigh stations: LG Village, Bolton Landing and Mossy Point.
Advanced entry fees will be $40 Adult, $30 Youth until July 1st, after that date they will be $50 and $40. Entry fees will include an event t-shirt and admission to the festival and bar-b-que to be held Saturday evening(7/11); this is a full weekend event and will be a fun time.
