Black Bear Heading Into Laporte!

Alligators and now black bears. Next there will be wolves and grizzlies.... What are you boys cooking up in that neck of the woods that bear is hauling butt into that area! Some secret shine operation. Things that make a person go hmmmmm......

Had a roast out of a Black Bear a few years back. It was pretty darn good. If he comes this way i might have another roast or 2.

I will not, the chances of encountering the bear are extremely slim, and they are usually very timid when in the presence of people. My experience with "portage bears" up in Minnesota and Canada that camp around popular camp sites and portages is that they are easily scared off by loud noises

Any body seen or heard any Rattle snakes over here, they are rumored to be here although very scarce?  Would imagine we have more of those than bears.

I havnt seen rattlesnakes, but I have seen coyotes that were huge and last fall I saw a bobcat too close for comfort. I feel like u always see strange animals when in the woods at m.c. sometimes strange drunk polish guys too

Saw a post on Facebook this morning from the District CO.  Bear still in eastern part of M.C.  Has not crossed Trail Creek yet.
