So the third straight weekend of trout fishing and another great day on a new spot... I figure I'd start my own thread to document many more trips to come... Today we got 17, 12 Browns and 5 brooks, I also lost a slammer brown (over 20 inches I'd guess), I'm hooked on this trout fishing... Haven't even thought of bass or walleye in awhile... Here's some more pics... All C and R!

WOW! I wouldn't leave fish to catch fish. The stream and the fish are hard to give up! I got 4 browns yesterday myself to 18 inches on buggers, nymphs and tan caddis. Doesn't get much bettewr then that! Thanks for the pics.

I'm fairly certain that you have fished this body of water, but if I posted the location and name on here my buddy would tar and feather me,  ;D

I'm still exploring new trout spots as I don't have a lot, I also don't want to over fish the same holes on one stream so the more spots I have the better I figure... I'm a spinning guy but I want to work fly fishing into my arsenal sooner or later especially seeing how I own a 5wt rod

18 inches is a great fish by the way... Congrats X 2

I had one heck of a day yesterday, we started at one spot which produced a few brookies and one brown but we weren't getting into anything with size so we tried another spot and it was on fire, 33 trout between 2 of us on the day with more than a few big ones... All C and R!

Nate now that you have mastered thaat spinning gear to catch those beauties, it's time to get out the fly rod and challenge yourself to another delightful addiction. You'll love those trout hitting a dry fly. Good luck and let us know how your progressing on the fly!
