I had a photo I took of a Great Horned Owl hunting squirrels in broad daylight at noon printed in The NYS Conservationist Magazine a few months ago, now this latest edition of The New York Outdoor News chose a photo I took this winter on one of my nature walks, of a Ruffed Grouse Strutting in full display. Grouse are awesome gamebirds, and very explosive on the flush.
If any of you guy's get the NY Outdoor news, check it out, and let me know what you think of that publication and the pictures.
It gives me more incentive to get out there in the outdoors and take pictures of nature and wildlife and then share them with everyone.

Nice shot Steve. I have read every issue of the NY outdoors news since they started it. Have even had a few of my deer pics in there.

That's great Raquettedacker....I wonder who taught him how to catch Bass !. First issue must have been quite awhile ago.
I really look forward to the NY outdoor news every 2 weeks, lots of good info, reports about fishing , hunting, ice fishing, bird watching, wildlife etc.and basically everything  to do with the outdoors here in NYS. I feel it is worth every penny for a subscription.
Thanks to all you guy's...I guess If I get some more good pics, I will send them in, and maybe get in there again.

Well, got my 8 year old grandson out for a youth turkey hunt down here in North Carolina this morning. No toms , but we did see 3 hens and 3 deer. Maybe a Tom will show up tomorrow.... It's all he talks about right now and he was super excited to be out there today.
I am looking forward to tomorrow morning as much as he is.
