Iffin I felt the need to troll 15 colors, I'd poke myself in the eye with my thumb and switch over to copper with or without dipsys pretty quickly.

Set up a 3 way rig and bounce bottom and hang on!

I haven't fished east grand for 20 years, but I know the primary color for fishing lakers at the
Glakes is a Black spoon with purple stripe, and a white back.  A slow troll, and its hard to keep
a laker off.  I still use the same method in Maine, only downsized the spoon.  The stripe is usually
a stripe of tape you put on the black spoon and trim the edges.  i have a dozen in my tackle box.

My life is enjoying the Maine's outdoors, for whats left of it that the states
biologist, haven't ruined.

lol. ive lost 2 downrigger balls in eg so its a hard place to stay near bottom. an electric rigger is a must. the closer to bottom the better . 60 t0 80 ft of water is best. a dave davies spinner with a couple ft leader and a spin and glow or live bait will catch fish. and theres some big ones in there.

Either way, EG has been producing some great lakers the last few years. Far too many are being killed just because they are big. Let's try to keep a great togue fishery and put the big ones back.
