I was on the pier at MC yesterday afternoon. An elderly couple were fishing there on the inside of the pier. I saw her catch several perch.  Someone said they had for or five total. Size was nine to ten inches.  (Saw three runs on steelhead - none landed. I left around 10:00pm local time.)

My buddy went perching the past 2 days with his buddy and they did pretty good.  Yesterday they got 39 and today they got 57.  He sent me a pic of some of their perch and they were good ones.  One that was 15.5" looked like a bass.  I was out on Tuesday and the blow day ruined it for us.  Think with the warm weather and calm winds the past 2 days you can get em.

I saw a report on another site of a guy out of the ditch yesterday that had hot and heavy action in the evening out of portage. I think a lot of it is just being in the right time, right place

Been a great evening bite for me this year, last hour or two of light has been fantastic

I heard the tunnels close to the beach drifting is the ticket. This is where water drops from 5-6 feet to 10-18 then back shallow. Only about 30-100 yards from shore. That is where I will be next time out.
