Today was the 6th Annual Todd Harvey Memorial kids fishing derby at the campground where my in laws stay at Sandy Pond. Todd was a nice young man that that died way too young from melanoma. I didnt know Todd well but we shared some beers and laughs a few times.

We entered my son into the casting contest for the 5 and under group. Well doesn't the lucky bugger (just turned 3) lay a perfect cast into the hula hoop on his second cast and win!!! The first and third try went about 6" in front of him.  :w00t:

He must have stolen my lucky horseshoe.  ;D

Our, not so little guy, Jr., has a bass tournament on the Mohawk river, St. Johnsville in the morning. ..a state qualifier for the high school level for them to qualify for regionals......wish him luck! 8)

Well,  after a very long day, I can tell you Josh and his teammate finished forth in the state competition today.

They only caught one bass today and, missed a few. The bass fishing was off this weekend on the Mohawk. A total of 4 fish caught yesterday and a total of about 12 fish caught today. Josh caught the fish they boated.....tough bite for all the competitors in his club.

Off to Clayton for a weekend event in two weeks! 8)
