Mini marshmallows and trout
« on: Jul 27, 2015, 06:53 PM »
Took the kids camping on a small trout lake bought a bag of colored mini marshmallows . In four days 32 trout rainbows and browns largest 17 all on mini marshmellows tipped with half a worm. Only other thing that worked was lake clear wobblers but marshmellows won. Power bait zero. Cheap marshmellows at walmart.

Its works great on Skaneaetles lake. I found after years of doing it that the marshmallow lifts the worm of the bottom and makes it float. I use two marshmallows and a whole worm on a slip rig. my second choice is floating berkly gulp egg sacs that work almost as well.

The mini-mellows with Pautzke  salmon eggs were killer out in Colorado.
