Yo KP,

I loved the first article you referenced. Please note the one conservationist comment.  “They have beautiful blue eyes, and are fun to watch".  All I know is the nesting population on the Carl Island at Sandy Pond has diminished from previous years. It may be a good sign or a bad sign, (meaning they have already depleted the food source)

You may have a point Jimmy....the perch population is certainly down.😠 I, for one, don't get close enough to see their "beautiful blue eyes" ain't got that kinda time to waste. But, on the other hand, there are alot of really nice ducks out there I don't mind wasting a bit of time on!😉 season opens soon!

Fished the lake this afternoon after work with Jake. She was rippin' pretty good. Went to an area where we never have fished scouting for perch. We found them. We only had a dozen and a half of minnows. We got 23 nice jumbos before running out of bait. NONE of the bait shops around the lake had any minnows today. Go figure. Water temp was down to 67* Things are really starting to happen out there now. Tight lines guys
Opinions are like @ssholes. Everybody has one and they all stink.

I was out too, but my bud's 16 footer kept us in the bay. We got some, but I'd rather not post the pic  ;D Still would have won the Dink Fest at Sandy Pond :w00t:
