Off topic(cubs win)
« on: Oct 08, 2015, 01:40 PM »
Before anyone starts in let me just remind people the wildcard game is for the best of the losers and in my opinion does not break the curse, they really haven't made it to the playoff and don't deserve to. In the good olds the cubs would be planning there winter cruise but tv needs it's audiences so lets let them all play in a playoff game.

It's not like they had the 3rd best record in baseball or anything.  What was so good about the old system?  That system would have kept the team with the 3rd best record out of the playoffs while simultaneously letting in a bunch of teams with worse records.

I wouldn't say the cubs and pirates are the first losers because they were wild card teams. they both had more wins than divisional winners. (Beside st louis) so saying a team with 97 wins doesn't belong in the playoffs just because they are in the best division in baseball is some bs and we need 11 more wins to celebrate anything

Not a big baseball fan anymore but I would still like to see the Cubs win a few more games.  Maybe, just maybe, go on to the next round.

Marty Mcfly predicted the Cubs win it all in 2015 in the Back to the Future movie. The second one of the series...... What's the odds of that? Or maybe that machine worked!  ;D

Cubs are ready for the Dodgers or the Mets.  Look out if they get some rest.

I'm a Braves fan at heart, but have jumped on the Cubs band wagon here for the playoffs.  Their playing some great ball, but I'm really wandering if they can hold up hitting the long ball like they are.  If their power goes away, their going to have to manufacture some runs somehow.

I can't stand that hideous tomahawk chop.  That is the only thing that turns me away from the Braves.  Go Cubs.
