There is decent access to the water on the 56th street causeway. The cut is a good spot for late winter crappie. One can also walk down and
fish around the public ramp area. It's a long walk, but one can also hike to gravel pit that serves as a waterfowl refuge at the extreme north end of the lake.
I haven't been down to the ramp in a while, but I'm pretty sure that all of the docks have been pulled. The lake itself is up and muddy.
