I really wanted to get some pike on the fly rod this year. Took my 7wt and some big flies with me to work and swung by a local river system after work to sneak in a half hour of fishing before heading home. Got on a nice small mouth and then finally hooked into a pike. Man it was a blast stripping a fly and then having one smash it. Think I'm gonna def gonna try to make this a regular thing, if I can. Not a giant for my first, but I'll take it!
