Finger lakes walleyes
« on: May 25, 2016, 09:16 AM »
I caught some nice fish last night in my kayak.  Nice to be able to throw back a 7lb walleye and have the smallest fish of the night (21") be the one for the table.  Lost another that felt to be the size of the 26" that I had hooked not 5 minutes earlier.  Makes those Oneida eyes feel like a reeling in a 9" brown trout haha but they all eat like walleyes at least.

Thanks htl, hoping to catch some up North this weekend or at least some pike.  Have you ever fished that reservoir?

Hornet, great looking fish..............................soooooooooo what finger lake is that you are on. ;D
Equal Billing: Crankbait degrees; Typically, the narrower the bill, the tighter the wiggle; the wider the bill, the wider the wobble.

If you mean Sacandaga, yes I have. But only for 60+ years....lol. Not a great lake to be on in the Summer on weekends. It can be a ZOO. Week days aren't bad at all...h2l

No, although I would like to try that out some time as well, but I was referring to Norwood Reservoir.  Heading up tomorrow morning for a few days and hoping to do some morning canoe trips looking for pike and walleyes.
