I assume this is "bluegills" and not "blue catfish."  Nice bunch of fish. The weekend is near and the time is right.

It's easy taking bulls off beds this time of year! Enjoy the pickings!

You may not be on beds, but they bed that deep in that lake.  Probably the only fish that get any peace when bedding.

Very true. They bed that deep in Clear Lake east of Fremont.

Seems to me that the best fish bed deeper and don't spawn as early as the avg gils. Now is the time for the good ones, just get away from the banks.

That is true too.  I have seen smallies bedding in 12+ feet of water in the clear lakes
In northern Michigan.  Crazy how deep fish will spawn.

The bass are all over the lake. All the breaks have bass.

It does get hit every weekend with bass tournaments so the bass might be a tad educated.

I have seen Gill beds in 12 to 15 fow in clear water lakes when bass fishing.  Those fish usually stand a chance of spawning successfully because the bed rapists can't find them most of the time.

Wiggler on a hook with a barel slip weight then a quality barrel swivel then a 3 foot leader and a number 8 or 10 hook. Wacky right a wiggler or tip through nose oh ya!! Fish have a hard time resisting it. I usually use 4lb pline but 4lb trilen or other lines be fine too. Bedding fish up here have been pretty sneaky hiding under boat lifts and piers. Impossible to get to from boat. Kids could from piers but James chain most kids don't fish and neither do property owners. Plenty of successful bedding up here.
