Raquette lake holds some nice smallies. Ive had good luck in grass island at south inlet, and weed beds in front of State Park. Enjoy

if you are looking to fish the fulton chain, especially if you have kids on board, get out at first light and be off by 10 am or so.from now through columbus day nothing but drunk morons out there!!!!like what was stated above, raquette has some nice bass and has alot less trafiic then the chain.if you have a canoe or rowboat you can also try browns tract pond off the the uncas rd,some nice bass in there and no motor boats.also, nicks lake in old forge, lots of small bass there.

rt. 28 gets in the way between 5th and 6th and then there is a 1/2 mile portage between 7th and 8th. Probably 7th lake would be the best to fish. JMO

Lewey was pretty slow last weekend, no toothy critters for me. 2 day wind was relentless after the front went thru. never seen so much boat and yak traffic there. Still a great weekend in the mountains.

Headed to Durant this weekend should be able to break my dry spell there. Maybe even get a chance to fight a tiger. Anyone had any mid summer luck with toothy critters there?
