It's a serious pain in the ass.  Tungsten is what I've been using for ice jigs for a few years, also for drop shot.

City Gov't has already shut down a couple ice fishing waters.

I was checked for lead a few years ago ice fishing. An all my tip ups. You would think after 2 or 3 tip ups with tin sinkers he would have been alright. Anyway, it's easy to tell if it's lead when it's unpainted but painted? They better not think of scratching off some of the paint on my jigs.

I am aware....you think that is bad...try surfcasting...you'll meet more cops than most criminals...point being those who are complacent and accepting of these changes and dont realize the underlying goal need to take some time to understand he motives of those involved with lobbying for said changes...

Not going to try it. I already have enough brain damage painting with lacquer paint over 30 years.
