Went out Sunday in search of stocked Browns. Found them between 10-15' and hot color was a silver/ chartreuss DB smelt, and silver sutton spoon. Once again, the slow troll stop and flutter pattern seemed to turn them on.
Then as the sun rose, the bite slowed. Dropped the riggers to 20' and a short time later the rigger pops, fish on!!
This time, there was some serious resistance on the other end of my medium light outfit.
I thought it was a big smallie, but instead of going airborn, it continuously dug towards bottom. Two times under my boat and several drag screeching runs later, it was boat side. I couldn't believe my eyes, they don't habitate this water system, but evidently, either by bucket bio, or the Mother's Day floods several years ago, this guy made its way and set up shop.
