Well I hit the water this morning at 8 and was off around 2. Got the first part of the break in done and did some trolling with the little kicker. It's a great boat, really enjoyed being on it and my wife enjoyed it which makes it that much better. She was laying in the front most of the time.
One thing I learned is I need more time to get used to / play with the trim settings and what the boat likes best while on plane. It's a lot more boat than my last one so I accept the fact I wot have it dialed in for a few more trips.
Morning ride was great but by 11am Lake George became a freaking highway, the ride back was rough. The waves are so irregular due to the bot traffic it's almost dangerous! Hopefully as tourist season dies down it will become more manageable.
Mac, you can now say "I told you so" about the ram mount. LOL. The 1.5" ball worked great in the morning but once I had to drive back to the launch and started really bouncing around it would creep down. I may wait until next season to upgrade or see what Santa brings. Until then I'll keep adjusting it on those rougher days.
Still waiting on my rigger brackets....
Trolled with a diver and a copper , landed two small smallies.
Thanks to everyone for all your advice, it's been a tremendous help. I'm sure my questions arnt done yet!
