ANYONE BEEN GETTING ANY PERCH?

Went out of New Buffalo Monday.  Big fish were real scattered.  Thousands of 2" perch just under the boat,  it was nuts.

But how many did you end up with.
Not hearing anything, I heard they were believing it was going to be a good bite right up into sept. I hope that's true.
Dang north winds are hurting the fisherman.

about three weeks ago, i got into some 12"ers.  found them in an inside turn, on the break.  12fow and on bottom naturally.  i ended up with 24 in my sack, before they shut down or moved off.  if i would have had another guy with me, the take would have been higher.  there wasnt a runt in the bunch under 10.5".  i was searching for them, it was just a bonus while after gills.

I have seen that work before.  A guy from NW Indiana would stay for a week vacation with his brother on Winona Lake.  He would spider rig for crappie early in the morning and then switch over and fish for perch after lunch.  He would fish spinners like that just outside or along the weedline by the fair grounds.  How time flies.  That was over 10 years ago, but I bet it still works.

I love to fish with spinners because you are on the move,lots of new water,most fish
like the movement,started about 1955 with spinners for trout

No, mr bishop, i was on an inland water.  the big lakes are too far of a drive for me.  we used to go to the big lake years ago.  it was worth the drive, for a bucket full of jumbos though.

Finally have a chance to try for some gold in the morning, hope to find a few and the rains haven't muddied the water to badly. Anyone been out lately?

Limited out on Erie Monday.

We were on Erie Friday and Saturday.  We limited on perch on Friday and should have limited on Saturday, but we tried to catch a walleye in the morning.  By the time we started perching it was towards the end of the bite.

Just curious, what Erie waters (MI or OH) and what is the limit?
