On the Tippy again
« on: Aug 12, 2016, 07:59 PM »
The boy and I are both getting ready for school to start - me teaching and him going away to Vincennes University. Probably our last big trip of the year together. Had a couple of minor showers. Paddles upstream from the put-in south of the state park. Paddled just upstream of the shelter house.  Caught at least twenty or more fish combined. Mainly smallmouths - biggest was caught by Dad - 16 incher. We both caught a northern pike - once again Dad had big pike - about 2lbs.  Son grab the honors of most variety: smallmouth; white bass; largemouth; northern pike.

Good day on the water.

That's a river I would like to try. Sounds like a good trip.
