Stink Bug Killer

Well, the annual stink bug plague is in full swing here in Upstate Ny. After trying numerous bug sprays and home made concoctions ( which they ate like candy) I've finally come across the single most potent stink bug killer.
Are you ready for this?
2 tablespoons of Dawn dishwashing detergent to a quart of water in a spraty bottle. A couple sprays and they're dead as a doornail.
Try it...you'll like it

I bet it'll work on them too. Killed a yellow jacket with it today.

Does that solution kill them without the stink? Fly swatters are not a good idea!😵

Yup...no stink! They crawl a little bit and drop like a sack of potatoes. For some reason they collect on my window screens. Give them a squirt through the screen and .......dead bug! Best part is the solution doesn't leave any residue on the screen. Can't even see where you squirted the little devils after a minute or so. I take great pleasure in target shooting them outside too.

Apparently, in the last three days my daughter in Kentucky has been inundated with stink bugs. I passed on your formula.

My Bride has taken over the stink bug patrol. She kept count yesterday and sending 77 to a soapy grave. None in the house as yet, all on the window screens.
My yellow jacket trap is working marvelously well too. I emptied about a hundred out of the bottle and refreshed the attractant yesterday adding fresh water with some Dawn in the bottom. In the 4 hours I was at work I caught about 30. All floating, stingers down in the bottom of the bottle.
No bumble bees, honey bees or solitary bees have ventured into the trap as yet. Just yellow jackets and a few big white faced hornets. The bees have been happily visiting the new crop of volunteer sunflowers under the bird feeder where the yellow jacket trap is.
The mix works on spiders and ants as well. I'm happy to not spray some petroleum based product around my house.

That's alright pops, I'm saving all the carcasses just for you. Better lock your doors next time we have lunch.
