Francis Walter dam
« on: Oct 02, 2016, 10:23 PM »
FISHED 9/23 11 TILL DARK, DAM IS WAY DOWN ABOUT 50+ FEET, LOTS OF TROUT JUMPING AT FLIES, 3 OF US HAMMERED ABOUT 40+ SMALLMOUTH, 2.5 POUNDS BIGGEST, MOSTLY ON TOPWATER, A COUPLE OF LARGEMOUTH MIXED IN. ONE 26 INCH PICKEREL, WATER TEMP WAS 73 DEGREES, 70 AT DUMP INS WHERE LEHIGH AND BEAR CREEKS MEET LAKE. AMAZING TO SEE HOW BARREN AND HOW MUCH BOULDER STRUCTURE IS IN IN THERE.

Is that electric only? How far in the water do you need to go to get the boat off the trailer?
Equal Billing: Crankbait degrees; Typically, the narrower the bill, the tighter the wiggle; the wider the bill, the wider the wobble.

It is 10 horsepower maximum, when the water is this low you have to drive down into the reservoir to launch, very easy to do and very flat, i launch a 16 foot bass boat with no problem, don't have to pull out too far, when water is up to normal in spring you launch at end of the paved road, extreemely easy.

With you guys out on your yacks I won't feel so bad if I go out on my little boat here, a 10' john boat.  LOL

Yeah but I might have to get a dingy to haul the 300 feet of rope and anchor so I don't sink.  LOL

oh boy, a 10' jon is gonna be fun rowing around on that lake. You wanna see something funny though, wait until you see ruttnutt rowing around in his 8' jon boat! LMAO!!! Now that's a sight to see but he goes pretty fast in it though!  :flex:

The heck with rowin, I have an electric motor and just need to get a battery and I'll be in business.  WOW an 8' john boat, I'd be afraid I'd sink when I got in it.  Now that I'm thinking about it that maybe he goes fast figuring if he doesn't it'll sink.   ;D
