A total of 5820 were stocked.  The average size was 7.7 inches

Other fall walleye stockings are taking place and final numbers will be posted to the DNR website.

At least there'a size limit now. I did a creel survey back in 78' and there was no size limit then. People were putting cigar size walleye's in their fish baskets with the crappies and bluegills! I kid you not!

yes it stops most. but there are plenty that still do it taxi.  i was casting along shore and seen a lady walk down the bank and string up a 12" eye.  im guessing there was a reason the stringer was 50yrds away. lol  you hardly ever see a CO. and it gives some people pretty big ____s.  at the spring crappie channels,(at lake x) the locals take 3 or4 limits home every day.  they just joke about being back in a few.  i hope im there, some day, when they do get popped. lol

Does sylvan or any other natural lake in Indiana have any natural reproduction at all? I know the rivers have alittle but more than was first thought years ago.

friend went there the other day to pan fish.  said there were25-30 boats back therre where they released the eyes. wonder how many were caught. lol

I have two CO's on speed dial on my phone..no joke. Andrew Harmon is a pleasure to work with when poaching is an issue. they do whatever they can to find the car and the fish/game that is poached.

I've called the Co's on a couple occasions with less than useful results. They are just too few and in my case were to far away to follow up. I don't blame them but was very disappointed and likely won't waist my time anymore.

Thats a shame , where I live one of the guides  caught a guy snagging steelhead and put one on a stringer taped it and gave it to the DEC officer and a ticket was issued
