The Mighty Worm
« on: Oct 20, 2016, 05:49 PM »
Got out this afternoon for a bit during a break in the rains. Thought the bass might like a night crawler or two.

Hit a dozen or so at a little flow into the canal. A few Rockies to boot. Fun little walk. Feisty fish.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Those are 6" red Wiggler flies Matt ;D

The spot I was fishing is so tight and overgrown, it's just a pain to try and fly fish. Besides, I'm not opposed to feeding them what they want. Gotta go with the flow sometimes.

Was fishing for crappie one time and this Asian kept watching me catch fish. It was hot out and he yells over to me fish bite warm?? I said yeah its spawning time they are in the warmer shallow water. He looked at me again and held up his line with a worm on it and says fish bite worm, fish bite worm?!? I couldnt hold it in busted out laughing. I ended up showing him what a tube jig is. Good job on the fish!
done dirt cheap!

I was gonna hit the stream for carp, but it was mud brown from the rains. And........why would I kill those cute little fishys ::)

Actually, I don't keep bass from the canal in the fall. They taste like Old crayfish.

I have a vacation coming second week of November. The perch are just there waiting for me.

I'm offended!!!

I provide a valuable service to my customers at Lowes. Mostly old farts like me and the odd housewife on a mission for their working hubby. I advise, direct, instruct and generally pass on my bottomless wealth of relatively useless knowledge to the seeminly, construction ignorant populous.

And I get paid to walk my 12000 step every day.......Mall walking.......just shoot me!
