not good
« on: Dec 11, 2016, 08:04 AM »
Not to put a damper on things but, with all this snow, it has just put a warm blanket on the little ice we did have. This makes it rough to determine where there is bad ice as well as putting a big damper on making more. Just be careful if you must go out. Remember to be safe and spud. Looks like a solid 4 inches here in Wheatfield with another 4 on the way. Suppose to snow most of the day. STAY WARM.

Would have been an easy 4 inches or more by next weekend if not for the snow.  Glad I am busy next weekend but will be heading over to IS to see if I can get logged in for the season soon.

Yep, not good indeed.

But in 2-3 months I can get the boat back out.

Mid March I hope.

I'm hoping, but it's typically the end of March or first 2 weeks in April.

Im with you attack. Ice is used to get a drink cold. To skate on. High school project. Something to dislike. Not to trust with your life. Its best when its thawed. Cant wait for that. Be careful guys.  ::)

I used to ice fish.
Far prefer to fish in warmer weather.
And in recent years I have developed neuropathy in my feet.
Very painful and the cold makes it far worse.
I've gotten better boots and even the chemical feet warmers.
Makes it better but doesn't keep it from flaring up and casing me a few days of pain afterwards.
So I gave all my ice gear to my oldest son.

In a few years I will retire and move to Florida.

Until then.............I b***h about it every winter.
And Bob gives me crap.
 :D
