North Shore Smelt?
« on: Jan 24, 2017, 11:53 AM »
Hi guys, I'm new to Mass and now living on the north shore (Gloucester area). Anyone been catching smelt this winter? Any tips if I wanted to try it?

Also does anyone fish through the winter for flounder? Do they still bite all winter if the temps are mild like they've been?

Thanks!

Hi
I haven't gone for years for smelt but I know they have gotten them in
Salem and Beverly. There has to be places to fish them at the docks there in Gloucester or Essex.
I know some winters they get flounder at the Swampscott yacht club.
Check your pm I sent you.
