Lake Mascuppic on the mass border Tyngsborough/ Nashua is  3/4 ice free. As luck would have it the launch is still froze over.

??? ;D  Launched the tin boat below Moore Dam hydro this afternoon.   56 degrees and rain but rainbows and small mouth were eating crawlers!
I expect that the Vermonters will line the north shore in two weeks?

Just be sure to check if the pond/lake you plan on fishing isn't a trout designated body of water, or you could be fishing illegally (before 4/1 official opening season)

Also be mindful that designated trout ponds aren't open until the 4th Saturday in April. Which should be 4/22 this year.

Lake Trout and Salmon waters open 4/1.

And though it probably doesn't need to be said, for God's sake, make sure you are wearing a PFD (it's the law).

Then go out and catch a bunch of fish!!!

Might be a good idea in the early spring or anytime for that matter?
In the Live Free or Die state, it's certainly not a law!
