impact on lead ban for hunters and fisherman
« on: Feb 18, 2017, 11:24 AM »
I read somewhere where Obama passed a bill before leaving the white house, that bans the use of lead for recreational purposes by 2020. I believe this will have a tremendous impact on the sportsmans pocket as we will probably have to use steel and tungsten for weight and ammo. Not only that, but it would also put a huge debt in self manufactured tackle and ammo, as most will not have the required equipment to melt down alternative metals on their own.

The order was issued by Dan Ashe , the outgoing US Fish and Wildlife Director and applies only to national parks. On its own, the order expires in 2018 if it's not recinded by the new admistration's appointee.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
