Heading out in the morning

Going searching for eyes in the morning. Not sure where I am going yet, but it will be nice sitting in the boat on the water!

Chasing trout with my buddy this afternoon! Took the kayak out for a spin earlier this week and landed one nice rainbow.

Took the boat out a couple times over the past week chasing fish on the big lake.  Can't believe it's mid Feb feels more like mid May.  Fishing was slow but if you wait them out a few hungry ones show up.  Talked to some guys on a few Crappie also and 60's forecast for the week I may just try to sneak out early a few days.

Went to Lake of the Woods. We had to drive half the way in dense fog. Once we got there half the lake had ice on it. So we headed to Bass Lake in the fog. The fog was so thick we had to use GPS to get to the main lake. Fog stayed around about it0:30. Fished until 1:30 and managed 1 bite. Fished 8 to 28 fow. SWT was around 43.

No fog but had a skim of ice on the big lake this morning also.  Water temps still on the edge, but sun and temps should start bringing the up a bit.
