I think this was true for both NY & PA Jim.
Maybe not last 3, but at one point Kinzua shared the state records for both states.
Of course it was 2 fish, one being caught in NY and the other in PA.

As long as we don't get any torrential downpours lasting hours, she should clear up some.. main lake should be decent for sure by then...
As of right now, may 1st isn't looking promising weather wise.. Calling for heavy thunderstorms with a 60% chance... hope the pattern changes between now and then!!!!

Good luck John.

Wish I was going to be home for the opener on Erie (or Kinzua).

Don't get home from this cruise until Sunday the 7th.
The walleyes in Erie are safe until the following Saturday.

Sounds like a successful outing to me. Glad you made it off the water before the line of storms blew through. Can't wait to fish Kinzua. Last time I fished it the Rez license was under $20. Finally broke down and purchased one a few weeks ago.  Thanks for the report and keep them coming...especially the water level and colarity. I'm sure today's storms won't help.

Levels are showing staying the same.. but I'm sure she's gonna come up... river is raging and super chocolate.. Will have to look at lake later in the week but I'm guessing she'll be dirty down into the main lake

If it continues to rain, Kinzua will be unfishable for a week. All the streams and backwashes were dumping brown water into it yesterday. Was out for turkeys, but planned to fish for walleye &  bullheads. Got none. Got ten 9 inch browns on Bone Run. They were yummy. Good day for fishinjohn.
