So just picked up my first boat over the winter, any suggestions on where to start fishing. There's so many places .......

I agree with close to home for the first trip or two to get use to it and to make sure there are no issues.  It is not fun to make a few hour drive and either get blown off the lake or have some operational issue.

I too picked up my first boat a couple days ago. Nothing big little pelican 10' boat should be good for early morning in the bays on larger lakes. Looking forward to taking it over to bass lake and putting some perch on the table.

I got a new pontoon boat over the winter as well... I have taken it out a few times and she runs like a champ, but have yet get a fish onboard! Oh well, it's just nice to get on the lakes instead of by the lakes for a change... I guess fishing from a boat is harder than I thought lol
