Am I The Only One???
« on: Mar 27, 2017, 05:53 PM »
Or are there more fly tiers with an ever burgeoning collection of materials and stuff.
The feather and fur drawer.

The synthetics, yarn and dubbing drawer

The...more hair, feathers yarn and foam drawer

The "stuff I thought I couldn't live without" drawer

The tool carousel

The glue, cement, wire, lead, floss and rubber legs carousel

The thread, tools, hook and beads storage and everything else under the sun backboard.

I'm stopping here, because I'm sure at this point I need some professional help.  :-\

Anyway, I've been making and  tying some crossover jigs.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Impressive, Bob.  Those cross-overs are deadly for gills.

Impressive.  It's nice that you have the room for such a nice bench.   ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

I guess I've had too many working shops in my life. I like to be able to find things when I want them. Truth is, I downsized considerably from what it used to be. It's now one side of our spare bedroom.

Flytying is a messy business. Kind of like cooking. Mise en Place!

Yes, but you have way more than me (and most humans) -  and I thought I had a lot. I even have some parrot feathers somebody gave me.  ;D

Unfortunately, I didn't tie a single fly all winter as I came down with an arthritic condition that pretty much crippled me. Feeling much better now thanks to the Doc and drugs. Ready for trout season.

Glad you're feeling better. If you need something tied I know a retired guy with stuff and time to help out ;D

Thanks for the offer. I'm actually in pretty good shape for the trout. I've been fishing the salt more and more and wanted to try some new  patterns for stripers. I never got around to tying those  cinder worms patterns so now that my hands are working again, I'm going to focus on them.
