Where is there open water right now to get trout and/or salmon?

Hi everyone!

Im looking for a place that i can actually catch something.  I have been to 4 spots that i catch trout at frequently but no luck in 3 cosecutive days! Please help! Taking any and all suggestions including where to go and what to use for bait. Thank you all in advance! Im in Auburn but will travel for good fish haha.

Welcome to the board! A question like this is best asked on your state board. Also if you include what state you are in, in you profile it help everyone out... I don't think Auburn is as common as Springfield, but I am willing to bet there are a couple around the world... Good luck when you get out and have a great season!

I would get out and investigate waters instead of taking advise I know michigan and the handfull of forums that go with the turf.. most of the people on there lie to others like tell them to use a purple wooly bugger in this section of the pm river  ..   when they and thier buddy know the lamp ray d**n prevents lamp rays and trout from going up river they Want you above it so you don't catch any thing..  stupid stuff like it the Internet is just that way so don't always trust advise.. wile your out look for feeding trout don't look for crowds trout spook very easy and as you know crowds are not worth fishing etc etc .. so that should tell you some thing and also while checking the waters that are less traveled by others you get better shots at quality fish ..have not had to many people lie on here cause most are from else ware just giving a heads up on what I have noticed..
