Good Luck.
« on: Apr 14, 2017, 06:00 AM »
Opening Day of Trout Tommorow for us guys in the North End of the state.
The Creeks are filled to the top.
I feel the trout that were stocked before last weeks rain will be washed downstream and pooled up in big pools.
I fish a dam on the opener.
A friend of mine was out to it this week to check it out.
He said the trout were getting washed over the spillway down into the creek.2 1/4" of rain last week got it up to its fill mark plus.
Good Luck and enjoy the day.

Our dam was super high.
The dam produced very little trout yesterday.
They all went over the spill way in to the creek.
My boys hit the Creek with their girlfriends.
It was a BloodBath.lol.
Lots of Catfish Bait.
I gotta agree on the 8 to 10" trout .....
We did land a few 12"ers.

hey buddy, it was good seeing you and the gang there. I was just a spectator, didn't even bring a pole. Those state stockers are good for bait and I didn't need any at the time, lol!

I made it there just in time for breakfast!  ;)  Chez's crew does it right!  8)   I got there at 6 and the tailgaiting was in full swing! They even had a nice campfire going.

Fishing was slow for sure! I think I saw almost as many pickerel caught as trout(which wasn;t many). Unfortunately, I had to leave just as we found out where all the trout were hanging out.  ::)

Was still a great morning and got to meet up with some old buddies and meet some new ones. Oh, and finally got to meet Bubba!  ;)

This might become an annual tradition now!  ;D
