where is everyone fishing this weekend?
« on: May 25, 2017, 04:07 PM »
Memorial Day weekend has been the start of camping/ fishing season for years. This is the first year in a very long time that I cant remember either camping or fishing. Since I wont be out, I was wondering where everyone was headed?

I'll stay off the lakes this weekend thank you very much.

Actually need to do some serous catch up with my taxidermy work. Been spending too much time with the live fish.

Were camping at Potato Creek, so i will be kayak fishing Worster. I have never fished it, but am excited to give it a go.  I haven't been pan fishing yet this year, so maybe we can put a few in the bucket this weekend.  I loaded up the kayak last night and discovered I must have left my paddle at the river the last time I used it.  So as of now no way to power it, may have to hire one of the kids to push me around the lake.

Tater - we are thinking about going to Potato Creek tonight/this weekend. Planning on some stocker trout and maybe bring the yaks over on Saturday or Sunday. Sone has an orange/yellow yak and I have a tan/grey yak. Hope to see you there. Chris

Potato Creek and/or Fish Lake.

Miss going over to Brookville Reservoir with the boy (young man now) and sitting off the ramp and rating people on their ability to launch their boat.

Sorry if you did not like our rating but we tried to be as fair as possible, while having fun.

Starts to get light around 445. I was on the lake by 5. Just what I was hoping for. Had my first fish within first minute. Thought it was going to be a great day. Stayed till around 12 or so and ended up with 14 keepers. Caught 2 bonus fish carp and cat (released). I must be loosing some of my catching skills. Went all the way to north end with only a couple to show for it. Caught a bunch of dinks today. couple crappie and a warmouth. MIXED BAG 4 SURE. fUN DAY TO BE OUT. hAVENT BEEN ON THE WATER FOR 6 WEEKS.
