in august works for me. i dont like togue fishing but if the salmon are off and its dead flat i hit a few spots and jig. the action can be pretty fast at times

Sure do,  I'll concentrate on areas of interest on my plotter, then cruise at about 5mph until I locate fish,  play the breeze right, start up wind,  then jig through them. I can see my jig once it's in the cone of my sonar,  caught loads like this.  Heavier jigs are better to keep on bottom longer before having to reset.
