I'm looking to try an fish crescent pool this weekend for the first time. I will be fishing from shore... could anyone let me know the fish species present here and any pointers?

crescent pool---you mean the water between the hyd. dam/lock6  and lock 7[also has a hyd dam]
in the mohawk river. i so,  than almost every fish in ny,list of what i have caught--bass,pannies.herring,shad
pike,pickerel, crappies,tigers,perch bullheads,
