Stripers with MG39 and Charlie!
« on: Aug 08, 2017, 07:03 AM »
Went down to Poland to fish with Bob a couple days. Bob and his girlfriend put me up and fed me the night before. VERY LOVELY!

Fished most of the day Sunday. Lots of fish. No keepers.....Almost maybe though. Charlie looked to have a good rod bender going. figures the fish wrapped around the only lobster buoy within a hundred yards. Ended up with a good 20 or more schoolies each. Great action! Great day!

Thanks Bob!!!  :thumbup_smilie: :flex:

Great day Joe, a lot of fish, too bad those little guys are bait stealers.

Had the last of the lobster rolls the next day. Charlie donated a few of my stainless rudders but you was the bad "buoy". ;D

Shrink down your photo, looks like uou can't respond unless you scroll all the way accross. :)

20 fish is a solid outing. Too bad for the one that got into the lobster gear. When the big fish make a run they are hard to slow down. Sounds like fun!

Looks like a freshwater set up there...what do you have?

I'm thinking about getting my 16' lund in the salt but I'm a little nervous

That's a 186 side console Polarkraft with a 60 Yami 4 stroke. That fishes well in either salt or fresh.

There's been a few fish in it. ;D

I fished my 16' Lund many times down there and still do if I'm alone.

I'm in boston harbor and stuff comes at you in all directions. Does the salt water rot away the plywood in the Lund?

Plywood?  The only Lund I've ever seen is all aluminum.
Regardless of what type of boat you're using, make a wise investment and buy some "SALT TERMINATOR", use it on all your fishing equipment and boat. Put some in a spray bottle for rods. You can buy the flush adapter to clean your motor by attaching it to the ears when flushing. My boat and motor is 11 years old and they both look like new.

Beware of shipping charges, here is the product link, hopefully you have a local supplier. If you have a Amazon Prime account you'll do well.

The rod and bow lockers are all made of plywood in my boat and carpeted. Plus whatever the floor is made of. Just wondering if they will rot quicker in salt water. Right now I use a side console RIB to take in the salt and it's all fiberglass and hypalon.

I'll check out the product...do you add zincs to anything?
