Bait Shops?
« on: Sep 12, 2017, 10:22 AM »
I'm sure there have been postings on bait shops around on this forum, but I couldn't find it.  Sorry if this is a repeat...I just moved to Harvard and was looking to find a new bait shop, mostly for shiners in the winter, and any emergency tackle.  I thought I was all set with Blue Northern in Ayer, but I drove by it the other day and it was closed, website said they were closing down too, so that's a no go.

Can anyone recommend a spot, or point me in the right direction??

I believe the "sister site" IceShanty has a list of bait shops.

Curious, are you looking specifically for bait or bait AND tackle?

Finding bait shops nowadays is like finding bigfoot riding a unicorn while holding a four-leaf clover.

Good luck!

I know, I was living in Arlington and that bait shop was awesome, but it was the only around really.  I usually just go for shiners and terminal tackle/ice fishing stuff.  Every once in awhile I'll stop in the open water season if I need something in a pinch.

Thanks for Tom's Bait tip, IS did have a bunch of shops listed as well. Appreciate it.
