Was fishing alone so I did not do any long walks, but hit some old stand by spots. The bass were in "back waters" and hitting hard. Nothing over 4 lbs but lots of fun, they know that time is short and they were hitting the Jitterbug hard... No little pops! I went last night because I knew there would be overcast, once the moon was "Uncovers" the bite shut down...

Nice job allan!
I got out in the boat today, was only able to fish till about 10. The wind was lowing hard!  Ended up with 2 lakers and a small salmon.

I tried streamers, it was way to windy to slow troll shiners.

You give the moon to much credit I think. Fish still bite with the moon out:-)

After many night trips with Allan I have to admit, the moon plays a huge factor, atleast at quabbin. Ive seen the fishing go from red hot to totally dead when the moon appears.

Stripers behave similarly most times.

I have seen many nights were all it would take is one cloud to pass in front of the moon and the bite would turn back on...
