That is a beautiful brown Pat.  Nice work!

Thanks.  I actually tied on a dropper loop and got it on a wire bodied stonefly above my bugger.  Barely felt it hit but saw a fish move so I set the hook and game on.

Yesterday in the rain, seeing the flash was the name of the game!  I'm going to hit it after work.  The sulfur hatch is outstanding.  Ive been doing a lot of work with a perdigon on point with a Frenchy on the tag.

Big bows this evening.  Broke of a giant brown trying to grab its tail...probably about 20".  Time for a net.

Took a walk in the rain this evening.  Caught 7 to 8 brookies, a few bows and browns too.  Nothing huge.  Good sulfur hatch helped.  Fish were hitting almost every drift.

Interesting bit of karma...I sunk a #14 in my index finger releasing a fish.  If it had a barb I would have had a bad time.  Thankfully it was barb less.  Thought that was worth noting.

Nice catch Jon.
Sinking that barbless #14 is like what I do when I check my blood sugar every morning.LOL

Good to hear from you brother!  I just changed my entire diet to hopefully avoid that routine!

Hope you've been well.

Great fishing last night...easy 24 or so landed.

Despite a crazy sulphur hatch I stayed sub surface and was rewarded over and over.

Personal best Brookie and an amazing sunset.  Insane bite.  Fished 6 to 8 landed over 30...mix of brookies, browns and bows.

This one broke my previous pb.

Then is bigger friend showed himself.

I really need a net for pics...

Great pics Jon.  You fishing around where you brought me or venturing out to new spots?  Seems like they stocked a lot of brookies this year, both MA and CT.

18 miles or so south.  Iso's coming off so they are moving a bit to nab the nymphs.  Starting to get the instant hookups when the flies land.  Iso's move fast when they hatch so the trout have been supercharged!  Many of the brookies Ive caught are lacking the elastomers so either are wild to the farmington or the elastomer fell out.
