Fished 9 am to noon yesterday. North end of main lake. Caught 8, 2 keepers, dropped 2 at net. Was very good 10-12. Worm harnesses 20-22 FOW. 1.0 to 1.2 mph. Didn’t matter what color. They wouldn’t touch a jig BTW. Slow year indeed. Do you guys think the water was different or is the population down? And where are the larger Walleye in this lake? Tried everything for 4 years, can’t find one larger than 20 inches here. Thanks
Aside from the fishing being so-so how’s the lake level? My boats been bone dry for a month so I’m itching to get back out. Contemplating a weekday soon.
Thanks BBB/H2L, appreciate the feedback. I was going to head up to champ as well but I heard they’re dredging Westport so I’d have to go even further north to get where I want. Makes for a looong day.. Maybe it is time to focus on the woods like you said Bob. One season winds down while another starts up
