Very simple choice.... #7 perch color shad rap... that will literally catch any species the swims in the river (even carp)

I use them a lot I have one box of silver and blue. Have 2 other boxes of all the other colors...
But I always start with that Bomber and usually never find a reason to switch......

Use one all the time and love them...even the big 1 oz unit. Even so I can catch more on a jighead with plastic...it works on a lot of levels.

Post by: rgfixit on Jun 15, 2017, 03:35 AM: I've got a box full of Bombers and Big O's in my boat. Use them a lot for trolling the Canal. Wally Divers are another favorite.

Looks like you're in the middle of the cottonwood blight Dom. It's all but over here. Today's thunderstorms should end it for the season. I quit fishing last Saturday for all the crap floating on the surface. Worst I've seen in years.

That cottonwood can be quite the pain! Great pics...I should rock the billed crankbaits more often.

That cottonwood can be quite the pain! Great pics...I should rock the billed crankbaits more often. Have to appreciate a rock bass eating a crankbait!

Post by: Hookset on Jun 19, 2017, 02:29 PM: 1/2 oz. Rat-l-Trap in Crawfish. Absolute killer in spring and fall. Or my favorite bait to toss around the slop/trees/stumps/rip rap, Zoom Super Fluke in white, rigged on a 3/0 or a 4/0. I'll use a weighted worm hook in spring, but that comes off as soon as I see weeds. I throw that right up to ice in. It's my 'confidence' bait, for sure.
