Jealous. I too have been contemplating those Western style boats… for at least five years! Like some others on the site(J_K), let’s say I'm umm thoughtful in my decision making. I actually looked at plane tickets this year to go to the Seattle Boat Show. About that time METOVT posted on both the shanty & here about bringing Duckworth to Maine and I’ve been meaning to see if he has inventory.

Duckworth site doesn’t give many details, the one absolute requirement I didn’t see was a live-well. If you’re going to Jeffries, I assume you keep live bait. I need it for salt bait, macks & the like. How are you solving for that?

Who knows, maybe this will be the year.  ;D
The boat comes with a live well up front but I did need to buy the kit to plum it and the deck hose on the port stern. The kit was not that expensive. The boat I bought just didnt come from factory with the kit as many would use this area for a fish box and not need water.

I guess at least 7 years. Remember the thread below? P2, about 2/3 down I mention Hewes Craft. Still looking! Good thread back then too.

*Disregard the fact I got Doug/Scalloper & Rick/Saltyshores, mixed up. :-[ All them downeastahs sound alike.

Another question- What is beam?

The beam is 96". I was looking at Hewscraft, North River and Duckworth.
