Easter Turkey hits the Fryer
« on: Apr 08, 2007, 05:34 PM »
Well, I finally convinced the wife to let me pick up a Turkey fryer last week...just in time for the Easter bird..here are some pics on it;s first time out..this years Easter turkey

I know it is not a good idea but the father in law gave me the go ahead to use it in the garage

I had some BBQ rub left over from lasy year so I gave it a rub down, and a little Tabasco injection

Then it was time to sink her in the oil,

40 minutes later...golden, crispy, juicy...incredible

Ya guys got to try the butter garlic herb marinade to inject those birds. Works excellent on chickens too! Normally I can do two chickens at one time in my frier. Thats part of the fun with those friers is trying different flavored injectables.

Looks awesome!!  We did that at t-giving, then forgot to cover the pot up.  The poochs went out for their night time potty break and lapped up some of that great smelling oil.  Then got sick and barfed on my sister-in-laws brand new white carpet...it wasn't pretty.  Good thing we were'nt at my house.   ;D
