Don’t know. It doesn’t show up in the moderation log. So it wasn’t one of us.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

We rented a toon today - actually had a gift card for it from the guys at Honeywell.
Anyway, we took my sister and BIL out today.
Awesome day for sure.
Tomorrow we all pack for the cruise.
Here are a few pics from today.

That is definitely something you will never see while walleye fishing on Erie. Great pics,

Occasionally, over the years.
Not since we moved down here in August
I try to stay away from them.

I bitched yesterday that I shoulda brought a pole or two to drag lures.  We only putted along at 2.5-3mph all day.  And fish were surfacing and jumping around us all day.

Stupid Mac.

A couple guys have been PM’ing me, asking about fishing and things.

( right Wally 😉 )

I’ve held off summarizing what has been going on.  But decided I really needed to update everyone.

The update -

I haven’t been very motivated to fish.
Basically, all (most) of my gear is in a storage facility.  My shed here is only 9’ x 8’ and it’s jam packed!!
I was in the process of looking into having it doubled in size.  Not simple as our park requires permits, engineering study, etc. before approval.  I never got anything done on this before the hurricane.

The insurance company seriously under payed me on the settlement.  I need a new roof, and a bunch of other repairs that will cost a lot of money.  So the shed project stalled.

I hired a PA to help me fight the insurance company.  The PA warned me up front this process will take about 4-6 months typically, but they assure me they will get me more money.  They get 10% of whatever extra money they get me, so it’s no cash out of my pocket to pay them.

Sooooo……… nothing happens for quite some time.

I’ve been tossing spoons and swim baits off the fishing pier here with little success.  However, I’ve only done that 3X.  I really need to pick up some frozen shrimp and squid.  I’ll then at least catch tons of saltwater cats.  This will at least scratch the itch.

Ok, now comes the boat.
Fishing from it would be better.
However, launching it from the local town launch isn’t simple.  The tides come into play, and the trailer needs to go WAY into the water for the boat to float off it.  This is common with pontoons.

Anyway, launching alone, or even with Donna sux.  Not impossible, but a big time PITA.

I’m looking for a boat lift for rent nearby.  There are a couple for $450-500/month.
With the insurance/repairs/shed up in the air, I’ve decided to wait on accepting a monthly expense like this, and the 12 month lease that comes with it.

So, everything is tied to this insurance thing.  Kinda.

We have more guests coming this Wednesday for 3-4 days.  When they leave I’ll have a little more time to set up a few bait rods - and scratch that fishing itch.  I made a promise to myself to do this.

Lastly, my brother is still in very rough shape.  He was moved from Sarasota Memorial to a rehab facility closer to me.  I spend time here and there visiting him.

My life is pretty convoluted.  Retirement was supposed to be less crazy.  Lol

Oh well.  I don’t work for a living anymore.  🙄
