Planned to enjoy the nice weather with Mrs. 200 on the boat today. We trailered it down to Long Island Sound and we were on the water by 7:15. Well, it makes little sense to be in a boat on the Sound without doing a little fishing. We leisurely trolled tube and worm setups in shallow water around Fishers Island. The water was warm and very weedy, it was near impossible to keep our lines clean. I honestly was not too optimistic...
Surprise #1: 28lb-12 oz. striper for me!
Surprise #2: 25lb-4 oz. striper for Sallie!
Both fish were quickly weighed and photographed, then released in great condition. We also caught 2 other bass, both around 22-24 inches. It was a great morning. Ya' just never know...
