Me & semper-FI hit the North Branch yesterday about 2:30 Pm. We had a few runs but didn't hook up with any. I did hook up with one of Tan's favorite fishes a 33 inch 22 lb carp! He put up a great fight & I do like catchin them! A light plane flew very low up & down the river a few times & even landed on the water a few times. I guess the guy was practicing landings & take offs.
If we left our baits out for more than a half hour the bait would be completely gone or all the flesh would be stripped of & just the head & bone structure would be left. I know other people have had that problem & I wonder what the heck does that!
Semper-FI left around 11:30 & I stayed 'till 2 AM, but don't know why! A little after midnight a 14 inch sucker came in to the shore by my lantern & stayed there for a while & took off again. Weather was great, no wind & nice & cool.
