Stargazer
« on: Jun 12, 2006, 10:39 PM »
I hooked into this stargazer while fluke fishing the other day.   I must of boated 40 fluke.  Only a few keepers.

I think it is a great adaptation for a fish, man imagine him sitting on the bottom and juts wacking fish that swim over?
I like the odd looking fish, something different.
Neat PIC.

I have no idea how big it was.  In the back of my head I knew that stargazers have an electric current for protection.  I dont think it was more then 12 inches.  My guess would be 10 inches.

Cool fish Niffken. I have never heard or see that one before. 8)

It must be a saltwater fish eh? It almost looks like a giant sculpin.

Nasty looking little teeth too. :o
